The simulated fox hunting
During wintertime our sweet and calm valley reanimates. When the season
of the simulated fox hunting starti, many riders with their red, black
and tweed jackets gather in the little place of the hotel to drink the
traditional stirrup cup.
The simulated fox hunting is a magic activity; everything is real but
at the same time false. Immagination and extraordinary elements mix up
while participants face many natural obstacles and fords and the sound
of a horn incite the horses.
The free run-up starti after three prolonged horn sounds of the master,
then all participants start hunting the “fox”, a tail fixed on the shoulder
of a skilled rider trying to escarpe.
So, while in England fox hunting is a very controversial issue, here at
La Casella we practice the simulated fox hunting since many years....and
the fox is safe!!
Here at La Casella we are animalist and love foxes..so we turn the hunt
into a country game that tests the qualities of every good rider.
